Welcome to The Long Family Webpage, the site dedicated to the adventures of the Long Family as they move to and live in Alaska. As most of you know, Dan took a job with the Maniilaq Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the indigenous peoples of Northwest Alaska. Part of this organization is the Maniilaq Health Center, a state-of-the-art medical facility located in Kotzebue, Alaska. Dan will be working with the medical staff as a staff dentist. Besides working in Kotzebue, he also flies to the surrounding villages to render dental treatment to the locals. So why this web page? Since everybody is curious as to what, exactly, Northwest Alaska is like, Dan decided that he should take lots of pictures, and the easiest way to let everybody see these photos was to post them on a web page. It's also the easiest way to keep everyone informed as to what we're doing. We'll also keep you updated on Daniel and Erin as they do their own thing. Just click on a link to find out more.
